Artist of my Dreams

Elizabeth Peyton's art makes me tear up with happiness. When she had the exhibit at the New Museum I might have gone once a week (thanks to Thursday evening's free admission) and each time I was overwhelmed with joy.

Anyone who paints Jarvis Cocker

AND Mad King Ludwig is my dream.

Or recognizes that Eminem is just as sexy

as Brett Anderson.

And who chooses my favorite photo of Frida to paint.

Not to mention, when she is asked to do a still life

it includes poppies and Patti Smith.

I tell you, this woman is a dream, dream, dream.

Now if she'd only get started on that portrait

of Prince I will be complete.

Dream Hats

Maison Michel hats make me swoon.

Any chance I get - I break out my own M M hat.

(My friends Amelia and Elizabeth

told me to buy those shoes

-- pretty smart for 6-year-olds).

For the Fall I have my sights set on This One:
