Dream Costumes (but not for me)

Kids are the best accessory, especially at Halloween. You can give them a costume and not have to worry about whether or not they can walk in them. You have all the control in what they wear and at the end of the night you can steal their candy.
For example: did my sister want to be a fluffy bunny? No, she probably wanted to be a puppy. But, I got to stand next to an adorable child and most likely got to steal her candy at the end of the night.

Dream Bird . . . To Wear

Hmmm, this photo got me thinking:

About how much I do not love ravens.
Growing up they used to torment me every Saturday morning, starting their chants before 6:00 A.M. and all I wanted was sleep. I would dream of taking a baseball bat to them one day. I wanted them to hurt. But they did have a lovely coat of feathers.
It's like that poem says:
Take thy beak from out my heart,
and take thy form from off my door!
And get thee to my shoulders.

The more raven-jackets the better. I haven't completely decided, but I'm pretty sure I don't believe in bird-karma.

I Dreamt I Had a Doppelganger

According to folklore coming in contact with my 'double walker' would result in grave misfortune. But I don't care. I need to meet this lady.

My friend Dusdin found her on The Sartorialist. No one in my family looks like me so seeing this creature made me smile. Her second photo on Satorialist didn't look quite like me, but she is inspiring.

I need to be more adventurous in my dress.

Especially when I go to Costco.

Museum of My Dreams and Nightmares

All this talk about Beetlejuice and
Halloween has got me thinking . . .

. . . about the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia.

It all began in 1787 as The College of Physicians of Philadelphia and is now a museum/medical library. To say that this place houses curiosities is an understatement. I can't go into details because it makes me ill. I can't wait to go there!

I'm especially excited for the Gift Shop. I adore museum gift shops sometimes more than the actual museum.

I probably won't be making a trip before Halloween,
but when I do, I know what I'll be wearing:
