A Dreamy New Season

We did it!
We made it to Spring!

Break out the floral headpieces

and frothy dresses.

And the blooms!
The glorious blooms!
I just want to wear them all.

And browse Spring catalogues.

And walk through parks with Marc Jacobs.
I want to frolic in fields, allergies be damned.

And it's time to start wishing I were blonde.

Dreaming of Sweets and Hearts

In honor of Valentine's Day, Laduree created Another Seasonal treat.
Since it's probably too late to request these as my Valentine's Surprise I have filled my day looking at photos of pastel colored sweets.

Korean Vogue did this story in 2010 and I want to live in these photos.  All white rooms, white dresses and gorgeous desserts.

A Dreamy Destination - Bohemian Edition

What do you wear when You travel?

I like to wear ethnic clothing and
carry as many bags as humanly possible.
(For some reason I get pulled over into
the special security line quite often.)

In my dream travel scenario I would ditch the army duffle bags and carry luggage from Anna Sui,

And then head to Morocco in my geographic-appropriate dress.
I might not like the food but I will be so taken with everything else I wouldn't even notice that I hadn't eaten in days.

Speaking of Morocco, that's where Sofia Coppola shot the upcoming 'Marni for H&M' (swoon!) campaign.  I cannot wait for the collection to hit stores (on March 8th) and I really cannot wait to see these ads.

Dreaming of Tailored Trousers and Ties

I love a beautiful woman in menswear.
OK, I know Christopher Walken isn't a beautiful woman, but I would love to wear his ensemble.

I have attempted menswear many times over the years and I always seen to forget my tie clip.

I love that a strong jacket, shirt and pant
can make a woman feel powerful. . .

. . . or adorable.

I think next I need to experiment with black, red and white.

I love Winona in black on black
with touches of Victorian charm.

In all honesty I was skeptical about Rachel Zoe's line,
but she had some amazing pieces, like this red tuxedo.

I still think about this story from W in 2009.
This white YSL suit is a dream come true.

This winter all I want to wear are suits and trousers and I think I'll just let Elizabeth Peyton be my guide.

Dreaming of (Early) 90s Decadence

Hmmm, I was all set to skip Versace for H&M.
I didn't even bother to look up when it came out.

But then, I saw this:

And this:
What's going on?!
Prince?
Sofia Coppola?
Anna Sui!?
These are people I dream about.

So then I had to take another look.

Turns out I have time to get to know the collection
since it doesn't come out until the 19th of this month.

I think Sofia's dress would be my first choice.

It comes in purple, which I would wear in honor of Prince.

Right, Prince Rogers Nelson?
Right.

Twenty years ago if you would have asked me who my favorite designer was I would have said Versace. Isn't that funny? 'Twenty years ago,' am I that old? Also, I would never peg myself now as a Versace-girl. I was obsessed with Linda Evangelista in the Versace ads. And her hair color.

Linda still looks gorg and if this is Versace for H&M
then I'd like this look too:
