My Dreamy Mother-in-law

I am a sucker for generational photos (as you can see from Magic Man's bday present this year):

When I saw this photo of my Mom-in-Law I could not believe how much it looked like Annie.

I tried to capture her with a similar expression but she does Not like to hold still so the closest I got was a shot of Annie with chocolate lips but you can see the resemblance, right?
How about now?

Even Lil' Dude has his beautiful Grandma's . . . everything.

Back to my Perfect Mother-in-Law. . .

From the moment I met her I knew she was someone I wanted to emulate and let me tell you why:

She always finds time to have fun. Example: She'll hide out in the woods near their MS. home and when you're walking back home at night she'll pop out and scare the heck out of you.

She is a refined lady, who is also a sharp shooter (her dad taught her how to shoot birds when she was 7).

She nailed the stone cold fox look in the 80s.

She is the epitome of class and will not say anything negative about ANYONE.

She effortlessly keeps a super clean house and can whip up a delicious meal at a moment's notice.

She has boundless energy and always has time to play with her grandkiddies:

(P.S. I love it when C.C. does cartwheels.)

She welcomes anyone into her house at anytime and makes them feel  at home.

She learned to drive when she was 8.  No lie.

She is a grandma and looks like this:

Plus, she's responsible for this guy.

Dream Getaway

Dreaming of Bridesmaids and Dresses

I played a 'Bridesmaid' once in a photo shoot.

And then I fainted.
But don't worry I stayed coherent long enough for them to get a few shots.  And yes, in these photos my head was going to be cut out in the final edit.

I've really had Bridesmaids on my mind and 'No,' not this kind:

But speaking of a hilarious movie, I wonder which one I would be?

Yeah, I agree:

My hot friend Bek, who reminds me of Aishwarya Rai,
finally asked me to be her bridesmaid.  I've been waiting for this question since I was a little girl.

To get in the mood I've been looking at my favorite bridesmaids photos.

These are my far my favorite bridesmaid dresses but I'm not sure this is the look Bek is going for on her big day:

Needless to say, I cannot wait.

Even if she puts me in a potato sack, I cannot wait.

And here's hoping the groomsmen look like this:

That Dream Day - Wedding Edition

I love wedding photos, especially antique ones.

Technically this is an old debutante photo:
but it conjures up those images from that special day when you're all in white looking hot.

I've had weddings on my mind thanks to one of my lovely friends (more on that later).

And I adore celebrity wedding photos from days long gone.
People often think Bianca wore a pant suit when she married Mick Jagger but that's because they get distracted by her plunging neckline.  So ridiculous.

Just look at Bridget Bardot!
So demure!  And I didn't know she married Timothy Dalton.

Then there's the queen, Ms. Elizabeth Taylor and her two weddings to Richard Burton.
I know this isn't healthy but I would love a love like theirs.  Just for a day.  I mean one month.  I mean one year.  That's it.

Actually I wouldn't mind a marriage like the one she had to Mike Todd.  Plus they had wedding ceremonies in Spain AND Mexico.  That's my dream!

Just ignore the creepy look Eddie Fisher
is giving her on her wedding day.

Dreamiest Make-Believe Couple

Doesn't this look like
Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig's
wedding day?

Thanks to her perfect Givenchy gown.
Oh Riccardo Tisci, you can do no wrong.

[Really it's them at the London premiere
for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.]

If these are their wedding day photos, then the New York premiere would be from their 'Engagement Dinner.'

Rooney in a modern, ethereal confection from Prabal Gurung
. . . and Daniel Craig in that hot hot suit.

I don't know if I've mentioned this but I love the way he dresses on and off screen.

Hmm, then the Stockholm premiere (with Rooney in Roksanda Ilincic), would be them leaving for their honeymoon.
I would want to dress smartly too when I left
on my honeymoon with Daniel Craig.
