Dreaming of Tailored Trousers and Ties

I love a beautiful woman in menswear.
OK, I know Christopher Walken isn't a beautiful woman, but I would love to wear his ensemble.

I have attempted menswear many times over the years and I always seen to forget my tie clip.

I love that a strong jacket, shirt and pant
can make a woman feel powerful. . .

. . . or adorable.

I think next I need to experiment with black, red and white.

I love Winona in black on black
with touches of Victorian charm.

In all honesty I was skeptical about Rachel Zoe's line,
but she had some amazing pieces, like this red tuxedo.

I still think about this story from W in 2009.
This white YSL suit is a dream come true.

This winter all I want to wear are suits and trousers and I think I'll just let Elizabeth Peyton be my guide.

Dream Bags - Street Edition

Even though I am very happy with my last two purchases,
(thank you LeSportSac and sale at Nordstrom)

I still like to covet bags walking down the street (as seen on Refinery29 and Vogue.com).

Especially black and white combinations:

And when I like color, I REALLY like color:

I am still trying to get into backpacks.
I like the idea of a small bag completely separate and I LOVE carrying multiple bags, so I might try this out.

Leaving My Dream Friends Behind

Last night I had dinner with one of these lovely people.

Now it's time to head home.

Dream Birthday and Time of Year

I love that my Birthday falls around/or on Thanksgiving for many reasons.

1. I love spending my birthday surrounded by friends and family.

2. I love dressing up as a pilgrim and having my little sister dress as a Native American.

3. I love ending a day of eating turkey with either a pink birthday cake or flan.

4. I love being about to see a Twilight movie to distract me from the fact that I'm old.
(Yes, I'm one of those.)

This year was no different. In fact, it might be the best one yet.

Mitch and her family threw me a lovely party with all the pizza and desserts and Raspberry decor she could find. Do you know one of the reasons I love Mitch so much? If you hand her something, like say a Mexican dress from Deseret Industries, she will put it on right then and there - even if it doesn't really match. Bless.

I had 3 cakes, but I think the one Erhan brought from The Coffee Garden was the clear favorite. There was nothing left of it at the end of the night.

And yes, that is the Missoni for Target sweater I bought the day it came out, paired with another birthday gift from my Sister.
She happened upon a Missioni for Target mini-skirt in my size. I tell you, that lady is a master visualizer.
P.S. I thought my brother looked extra sharp, with his yellow shirt, thick glasses and herringbone jacket.

This year was also special because we had several finance experts in attendance who talked about the world's economy, excel and working with models.

And babies talking about baby things.

And at the end of the night, Mitch let me brush her hair while she read book 2 of The Hunger Games out loud (if it's not one young adult series, then it's another).

Dreaming of an Awkward Color

I love this Neon Yellow-Green.

I love it as an accent against black
(as shown in this MZ Wallace photo). . .

. . .and with white and neutrals
(like with this Kate Spade satchel below).

I think the black, shades of grey and my neon-awkward color look best on fair skin.

I love it also as a surprise color
(classic wallet and then Boom!).

I prefer the neon but a bold yellow is also nice.

And this Lanvin bag in yellow and tan with a shoulder bow is making me weep with joy. I'm not even a bow girl but I think the irreverent color combination toughens it up.

In reality this color doesn't suit me (unless you're the Lanvin Bag and then I promise you suit me very well). So I think I'll order these socks from We Love Colors so I can enjoy just a hint of it.
